OMV Road Skills Test

Bayou Brake Driving School is a Louisiana state-approved road skills testing site. Students may register to take their OMV road skills test directly at our driving school in a familiar, low-stress environment. TO TAKE THE ROAD SKILLS TEST:

  • If you are 16 years old (or at least within 30 days of your 16th birthday), you must present a valid Learner’s Permit.
  • If you are 17 years old, you must present either a Valid Learner’s Permit or a Certificate of Completion for the Teen Driver Ed Course.
  • If you are 18 years old or older, you must present a Certificate of Completion for the Adult Pre-Licensing Course.
  • Call or email our office to set up your appointment.

***A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign consent forms for anyone under 18 taking the road test. If you are physically or mentally handicapped, you must complete your road test at the OMV.
